Annual Winter Event
On Saturday, December 7th from 6PM to 8PM, the Andrew County Museum will host its annual Winter Event. Visitors can purchase raffle tickets for twenty-four decorated trees expressing the “Joy of Christmas.” Trees range in size from three to six feet and are decorated to appeal to visitors of all ages. The Winter Event also features choral singing, holiday refreshments, and a visit from Santa Claus. Trees will be on display and raffle tickets will be available for purchase beginning on November 29th during regular museum hours (Tuesday-Saturday, 10AM to 4PM). From November 29th through the event on December 7th, admission to the museum located at 202 East Duncan Drive in Savannah is free. Visitors are encouraged to bring canned goods for the Andrew County Food Pantry. In addition, the Andrew County Rotary Club has placed one of its “Mitten Trees” at the museum. The club collects gloves, mittens, scarves, hats, and socks for distribution to children through local schools and churches. For more information, call (816) 324-4720.
